Rapportive: Better Gmail for Networkers

I’ve been using Rapportive for a few months now – it ties into your Gmail account and shows you info on anyone who e-mails you (including their profesison, LinkedIn profile, Facebook profile, recent tweets, etc) in place of where the ads would usually be. Great for keeping up-to-date on your contacts and getting the inside scoop on new people who contact you.

    Hi Alex and Rahul,

    does Rapportive only work with Gmail? How about hotmail? Since I have most of my contacts in my hotmail account….

    Thanks,
    Lynn

    @Lynn:
    Haven’t heard of it working with Hotmail – I’m guessing Hotmail doesn’t have the accessible API that Gmail has, meaning it’s more difficult to build extensions for it. I think there’s a similar extension for Outlook though called Xobni if that helps…
